Buhari Declares for Presidency, Says Boko Haram is Ungodly

Former military Head of State  Major-General Muhammadu Buhari, Wednesday 15th October formally declared his intention to enter the presidential race on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), promising to fight corruption and wipe out Boko Haram, which he described as “ungodly”.

Four APC governors including Governor Babatunde Fashola, Lagos; Rotimi Amaechi, Rivers; Adams Oshiomhole, Edo and Tanko al-Makura of Nasarawa were there.
According to Channels TV,

He made the official declaration on Wednesday before a large gathering of APC members at the Eagle Square in Abuja.

The former Head of State said he would tackle issues of insecurity, corruption, unemployment and power generation among others if elected.

During a visit to the governor of Kwara State, Abdulfattah Ahmed, on Tuesday, General Buhari had  insisted on continuing to contest for the position since there was no constitutional limit to how many times anyone could contest for political posts.

General Buhari had contested for the same position three times in the past.
